At Palm Grove Preschool, we start each year by hosting a Family Picnic to welcome both new and returning families. Held in our spacious outdoor play area, this event provides a wonderful opportunity for families to connect in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Parents, children, and staff come together to enjoy games, share stories, and build strong relationships that will grow throughout the year. This tradition is part of how we foster a close-knit, supportive community right from the start of Term 1.

Our Stay and Play program invites parents and grandparents to immerse themselves in their child's preschool experience. Each term, families can nominate one day to visit the preschool, allowing them to see first-hand the activities and learning taking place. This special opportunity encourages family involvement and strengthens the bond between home and preschool.

During their visit, adults can participate in various activities alongside their child, fostering engagement and connection. Stay and Play not only enhances children's learning experiences but also helps families feel more integrated into our vibrant preschool community. Each term, we hold Working Bees, where families come together to help maintain and enhance our preschool environment. It’s a hands-on way for parents to contribute, from gardening to small repairs, while building a sense of community and pride in our shared space. Children are welcome to join in the fun—whether they’re playing with friends or even lending a hand in sprucing up their own play area.

Our Working Bees are a great way to support the preschool, meet other families, and ensure that our facilities remain a wonderful place for learning and exploration.

The Kinder Disco, held in Term 4, is a lively and energetic event that brings our preschool community together for a night of fun and celebration. Children are invited to dance, play, and enjoy music in a safe and friendly environment. This event encourages social interaction and fosters a sense of belonging among our little ones while creating cherished memories.

Parents and guardians are welcome to join in the festivities, ensuring everyone can be part of the excitement. At Palm Grove Preschool, we honor the special women in our children's lives with a heartfelt Mother's Day Celebration. To celebrate Father's Day, Palm Grove Preschool hosts an exciting Father's Day Footy Clinic in partnership with the local Kilsyth Football Club. This engaging event invites children to bring their dads or special male figures for an evening filled with fun, footy drills, and camaraderie.

Participants will enjoy a series of skill-building activities and drills led by experienced coaches from the Kilsyth Football Club, promoting teamwork and physical fitness. The evening culminates in a delicious dinner, providing an opportunity for families to relax and connect after an active session.

The Father's Day Footy Clinic is not just about sports; it’s a chance for families to bond, create lasting memories, and celebrate the important role of fathers and father figures in children’s lives. Join us for a fantastic night of footy fun.

Palm Grove Preschool proudly hosts its Annual Bunnings BBQ, a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and engage with the wider community. Throughout the day, we serve delicious sausages and refreshments, with all proceeds going directly to support our preschool programs.

This event not only helps raise vital funds but also fosters a spirit of community and connection among families. Children are warmly welcomed to join in the fun, enjoying a tasty treat while spending quality time with friends and family.

The Bunnings BBQ is a highlight of our year, showcasing the strength of our preschool community and the importance of coming together for a common cause.

To celebrate the holiday season, Palm Grove Preschool hosts a festive End-of-Year Christmas Party at the Miniature Railway, exclusively for our preschool families. This joyful event provides a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and reflect on the year’s accomplishments in a fun and festive setting.

Families are invited to bring their own dinner and enjoy a picnic-style meal while the children explore the enchanting miniature railway rides. Adding to the holiday magic, Santa makes a special visit, delighting the children with gifts and holiday cheer.
